A History of Blood – Vol. 1, Chapter 10.5

Recapping recent events before moving on to the next volume of our story.

So far, there have been exactly 3 ā€œresetsā€ to this story— 2 hard resets and a soft reset. The hard resets involved completely starting the story over from scratch, while the soft resets just quietly change the story midway, such as what happened in Chapter 5.

We are briefly going to summarize each chapter, explaining how each chapter fits into the overall narrative.

Chapter 1 (7/26/26) – the opening is where I introduce myself along with 3 key facts:

  1. I am a Muslim man
  2. I am from New York City
  3. I am a veteran of the United States Marines

I go into my career a bit, explaining that I was working as an Insurance Agent, explaining both my licensing process and briefly covering my career earnings, focusing on my top 5 earning years.

Chapter 2 (7/27/26) – this chapter introduces the Islamic concept of marriage, briefly going into the importance of combining finances, or individual contributions.

Chapter 3 (7/27/26) – goes into budgeting for an average adult couple, while also addressing the topic of chores. The cost of living is established at $3,000 a month

Chapter 4 (7/29/26) – this chapter goes more into chores and my partners delivery business

Chapter 5 (8/3/26) – officially changes the subject from Insurance specifically to a more general Accounting/Finance. Establishes the goal of becoming a CPA.

Chapter 6 (8/5/26) – establishes additional goals, revolving around working as an accountant, armed guard, and driver, while working with the VA, and studying Islam more.

Chapter 7 (8/6/26) – goes into recovery, planning to buy a house, car, and managing wages.

Chapter 8 (8/9/26) – goes into my potential disability, and the difference in income between 2026 and 2025

Chapter 9 (8/15/26) – goes into my addition, my recovery, my mental health, my military service, and my book/film project.

Chapter 10 (8/16/26) – addresses my romantic relationships, which form the foundation of the book I am working on.

The book I am working on is titled, ā€œThe Portrait of Sarah Rachel Feinmanā€.

The book is about a painting named after a young Jewish girl from Pennsylvania. The painting was completed as a gift for her 18th birthday, unfortunately— she never received the painting.

The book is largely done, outside of some editing, which I’ll work on next week. It’s been hard to find the time, so I started keeping a journal.

Part of the reason it’s been so hard to find the time is that I haven’t been using a calendar properly. The program I am in is designed to help with that sort of thing, by helping me keep track of weekly progress, my daily meetings, and whenever I leave the house. I will probably implement similar things in my house whenever I move.

For the most part, my schedule has been the following:

  • Mosque
  • School
  • Work

I’d like to add the gym, and I did do a little bit of networking today to that extent. I have to remember to share my weekly progress report here. I need to practice networking at meetings, following up with new contacts, and making genuine connections. It helps that I’m closing the door on some old ones, because I only have so much room for so many people in my life.

I also want to incorporate more art and design, especially motifs centered around flowers, skulls, pinup, guns, horror, with a focus on music as well. More vaporwave, classical music, and barber beats. I want to include artists, albums, and playlists, into the things I talk about. I’d like to work more with these types of people.

If possible, I’d like to blend the culture of Haiti, Islam, and life in the three places I found myself:

  1. New York City
  2. Baltimore, MD
  3. MCAGCC Twentynine Palms

I have a pretty clear monetization strategy for this website. It includes the following:

  • Art Prints
  • Books
  • Insurance Agency
  • Security Company

In short, I want to paint— and to make extra money I will sell prints of the paintings I make, books that tell stories about the paintings I make, while offering a bookkeeping service and a filmmaking service. I will also work as a consultant, security guard, or driver (either deliveries or taxi) but the most important thing is the paintings.

Addressing each potential stream of income:

  1. Art Prints – allows me to sell my most popular artworks repeatedly, offering a lower priced alternative to commissioning a unique artwork
  2. Books – allows me to go into more detail on a specific story, subject, or time in my life.
  3. Insurance Agency – Medicare, long term care, life insurance, annuities, and recruiting
  4. Security Company – armed or unarmed and contract work

Overall, it’s very simple.

When people ask, what do I do, I will probably lead with insurance:

ā€œI work for a company called ASB Financial ā€

If they seem interested enough I’ll set an appointment, and I’ll be sure to send them some information beforehand, either this blog or marketing materials from corporate.

Volume 2 will largely be a rehash of Volume 1, going over all of the same topics but from a better perspective, due to the recent changes in my personal life.

The biggest change will be splitting a history of blood into three separate blogs. We will also be going from a random schedule to weekly releases. I had to almost kind of rush to get this article finished before the deadline, but I’m happy with the way it turned out.

I’ll close with a bit of a story:

Today I went to the mosque for Maghrib and Isha, with a Quran recitation inbetween. I got there a little bit before Salaat, where the Imam was addressing some of the current challenges in the community.

ā€œThe only people who attend our events are outsiders, the people within the community never show up— I am looking for teachers, but they always quit before they start—people only show up for the events that have foodā€¦ā€

I spoke briefly about what my suggestions were, and while I’m glad that I shared, what I actually do next is going to be what matters most.

Sura Ash-Shu’ara (26:224) states: As for poets, they are followed merely by deviants.

Do you not see how they rant in every field, only saying what they never do?

Except those who believe, do good, remember God often, and poetically avenge the believers after being wrongfully slandered. The wrongdoers will come to know what evil end they will meet.

My poetry is revenge.
